Warranty Information

GE Appliances will replace defective parts for up to one year, sealed refrigeration system for five years, and other specified parts for an additional four years.

Controls

Temp Control: Adjusts temperature. Display shows set temp, not room temp.

Fan, Mode and Operation Control: Set fan (HIGH/LOW), Mode (COOL, FAN, HEAT, OFF), or use Wall Thermostat.

Quick Heat Recovery: Energizes electric heaters when switching to HEAT mode.

Control Lock Out: Press and hold DISPLAY SHOW/HIDE for 10 sec to lock/unlock controls.

About Your Heat Pump (AZ65 only)

Saves energy by transferring heat. Avoid large temp changes. 3-min minimum compressor run time. Electric heat used below 25°F outdoor temp. Cooling locked out below 35°F.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause What To Do
Zoneline will not start. Unit is unplugged. Ensure the Zoneline plug is fully inserted into the outlet.
Zoneline will not start. Power cord is not firmly connected. Remove the wall case cover and ensure the black connector on the power cord is firmly connected.
Zoneline will not start. Fuse blown/circuit breaker tripped. Check your home's fuse box/circuit breaker and replace the fuse or reset the breaker.
Zoneline will not start. Unit is waiting for compressor overload protector to reset. This is normal. The Zoneline will begin to function again after resetting.
Zoneline will not start. Power Outage. Set mode control to OFF. Once power is restored, set mode control to desired setting.
Zoneline will not start. Power cord switch is activated. Press the RESET button on the power cord plug or inline connector. If the RESET button does not stay engaged, discontinue use and contact a qualified service technician.
Zoneline does not cool or heat properly. Airflow is obstructed. Ensure curtains, blinds, or furniture are not blocking the front of the Zoneline.
Zoneline does not cool or heat properly. Outside airflow is restricted or re-circulated. Ensure the rear grille is not restricted. Consult your dealer for assistance if needed.
Zoneline does not cool or heat properly. Temperature control is not set correctly. Adjust the control to a lower or higher setting. Note: Temperature Limiter may be restricting the temperature range.
Zoneline does not cool or heat properly. Air filter is dirty. Clean the filter at least every 30 days. Refer to the Operation Instructions section.
Zoneline does not cool or heat properly. Ambient temperature is too hot or too cold. Allow time for the room to cool or heat when the Zoneline is first turned on.
Zoneline does not cool or heat properly. Outside air is entering the room. Set the ventilation control to the closed position.
Burning smell when heating starts. Dust on heating elements. This may occur and should disappear quickly.
