Warranty Information

GE provides a one-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, including parts, labor, and in-home service.

The touch controls provide precise control of the surface elements, allowing quick switching between low heat and full power. The cooktop features radiant heating elements beneath a glass surface. Indicator lights show when elements are active or if the surface is hot. The "HOT SURFACE" indicator remains on until the surface cools to approximately 150°F (66°C). The "Control Lock" feature prevents accidental activation during cleaning or when not in use. The warming zone element (on some models) keeps sauces and gravies warm. The system includes a touch board, relay power supply module (RPSM), and daughter relay module (DRM) for element control. Elements cycle on and off to maintain selected heat settings, with a temperature limiter protecting the glass. A "DEMO MODE" can be activated by applying 120 VAC.
