Basic Operation

To turn the camera on, press the Power button. To turn it off, press the Power button again. The camera will start in the last used shooting mode. The Mode Dial allows switching between Auto mode, Manual mode, Panorama mode, Stabilization mode, Scene mode, Movie mode, ASCN mode, and Portrait mode. For first-time use, a language setting page will appear. The Zoom Function allows for closer shots, and the Basic Functions Menu provides access to settings like Flash, Self-timer/Continuous Capture, Macro Mode, and Exposure Compensation.
