Step 1. Charging the battery: Allow the battery to charge until the green light illuminates. (First charge should be at least 4 hours).
Step 2. Inserting the battery: Slide open the battery cover, lift it, insert the battery, and close the cover.
Step 3. Control touch panel: The LCD screen shows control buttons. Use your finger to touch gently; avoid sharp objects or excessive force.
Step 4. Setting the language: Turn on the camera, navigate the language menu using arrow keys, and press OK to confirm.
Step 5. Setting the Date/Time: Select the field to change, use arrow keys to adjust, and press OK to confirm.
Step 6. Shooting in Auto mode: Touch the Auto mode icon, aim at the subject, press the shutter button halfway to focus, and fully press to capture the image.
Step 7. Viewing your picture: Press the Playback button, then use arrow icons to view stored pictures or movies.
Step 8. Deleting a picture: In Playback mode, touch the screen, select the Delete icon, choose the picture/movie, select Delete, and press OK. Use Cancel to return.
