Getting Started:
  • Unpacking: Check package contents: User Manual, Quick Start Guide, CD-ROM, Warranty Card, Wrist Strap, Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery, Battery Charger, USB Cable, AV Cable.
  • Identifying Components: Familiarize yourself with the camera's parts by referring to the diagrams on pages 13 and 14.
  • Charging the Battery: Place the battery in the charger, connect the cable to the charger base and then to a wall outlet. Charge until the light turns green (first charge at least 4 hours).
  • Inserting the Battery: Open the battery compartment, insert the battery observing correct polarity, and close the compartment.
  • Inserting an SD/SDHC Card: Open the battery compartment, insert the card into the memory card slot, and close the compartment.
  • Turning On/Off: Press the Power button to turn the camera on or off. The camera defaults to Auto shooting mode on first use.
  • Control Touch Panel: The LCD screen is a touch panel with integrated controls. Use your finger to operate.
  • Time and Language Setup: Configure language and time via the Setup menu (TT icon). Follow on-screen prompts to set Date/Time and Language.
