GETTING READY

Unpacking

Your package should contain the camera model you purchased along with the following items. If anything is missing or appears to be damaged, please contact General Imaging.

  • Battery charger

Camera Views

Identifies the different views of the camera (Front, Back, Right, Top, Bottom, Left).

Charging the Battery

  1. Place the battery into the charger.
  2. Connect the cable to the charger base.
  3. Plug the cable into a wall outlet.
  4. Charge until the light turns green. First charge should be at least 4 hours.

Insert the Battery and SD/SDHC Card

  1. Open the battery compartment.
  2. Insert the battery observing correct polarity.
  3. Insert the SD/SDHC card.
  4. Close the battery compartment.

Turning On and Off

Press the Power button to turn the camera on or off.

BASIC OPERATION

Shooting in Auto Mode

The easiest mode for taking photos. The camera optimizes settings automatically.

  1. Press the Power button.
  2. Select Auto mode.
  3. Compose the picture and press the Shutter button halfway to focus.
  4. Wait for the focus frame to turn green.
  5. Press the Shutter button fully to capture.

Using the Zoom Function

Use the zoom wheel for optical and digital zoom.

Basic Functions Menu

Access Flash, Self-timer, Macro Capture, and Exposure Compensation.

  1. Press the Right/Flash button to access the menus.
  2. Press Down to enter the selection screen, then Left/Right to select functions.
  3. Press Up/Down to enter the setup screen.
  4. Use Left/Right to select options and press func/ok to confirm.
