Getting Started

  • Unpacking: Check contents against the list provided.
  • Install Shoulder Strap and Lens Cap: Follow diagrammatic steps.
  • Camera Views: Familiarize with front, back, left, top, and bottom views with numbered components.
  • Insert Battery and SD/SDHC Card: Open compartment, insert batteries correctly, insert memory card, close compartment.
  • Turning On and Off: Push ON/OFF button to operate.
  • Setting Date/Time and Language: Follow on-screen prompts for initial setup or access via menu.

Basic Operation

  • Shooting in Auto Mode: Turn on camera, select Auto mode, compose, focus by half-pressing shutter, then press fully to capture.
  • Using the Zoom Function: Use the Zoom Wheel to optically zoom; press again after reaching maximum optical zoom for digital zoom.
