Installation Guide for GTD48EASWW

Before You Begin

• Read instructions carefully.
• Save instructions for local electrical inspector.
• Observe all codes and ordinances.
• Install per manufacturer's instructions and local codes.
• Ensure dryer is exhausted outdoors.
• Remove old dryer door before discarding.
• Keep children away.
• Proper installation is the installer's responsibility.
• Install where temperature is above 50°F.
• Replace existing duct with UL-listed duct.

Connecting Inlet Hoses (Steam Models)

• Connect to cold water supply using Y-connector.
• Use new hoses.
• Check for leaks.

Connecting a Gas Dryer

• Use new CSA approved flexible gas supply line.
• Install manual shut-off valve.
• Tighten gas connections securely.
• Follow local codes and National Fuel Gas Code.

Electrical Connection

• Plug into grounded 3-prong outlet.
• Do not remove ground prong, use adapter, or extension cord.
• Ensure proper grounding.

Exhausting the Dryer

• MUST be vented outdoors.
• Use only 4" rigid metal or UL-listed transition duct.
• DO NOT use plastic vent, exhaust into chimney, install screen, or booster fan.
• Keep exhaust duct length within specified limits.

Final Setup

• Level the dryer using adjustable legs.
• Plug dryer into grounded outlet.
• Press Start button.

Reversing the Door

• Follow specific instructions for solid or glass panel doors.
• Tools needed: screwdrivers, putty knife.
• Unplug dryer before starting.
