Full one-year warranty on parts and labor, with an additional four-year warranty on the sealed refrigerating system. A three-year food spoilage limited warranty is also included.
Installation: Ensure freezer is placed in a location with ambient temperatures between 32°F and 110°F, allowing 4 inches for top air circulation and 1 inch at the rear. Adjust legs so the freezer is level and the door closes when opened halfway.
Operation: Clean interior with baking soda solution. Set temperature control to No. 1 for normal freezing, or higher for colder temperatures. Allow freezer to run for at least two hours before adding food. Never freeze more than three pounds of food per cubic foot at one time. Quick-freeze on the top shelf by setting the control to No. 9 several hours prior.
Energy Saving Tips: Avoid warm, unventilated areas. Organize food for quick access. Ensure the door is fully closed. Minimize door openings, especially in humid weather. Return the coldest setting to normal after quick freezing.
Cleaning: Unplug freezer or turn control to OFF. Clean interior with a baking soda and water solution. Rinse and dry. Clean exterior with a mild detergent and dry. Apply wax or polish to the exterior finish for protection.
Defrosting: Necessary when frost reaches 1/4-inch. For complete defrosting, turn control to OFF, remove food to coolers, use hot water to loosen frost, clean interior, and return settings and food. Models CA15D and CA15E have a drain hose behind the grille.
