GE Appliances will replace any part of the freezer that fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship within one year of the original purchase date.
Starting the Freezer: Clean the interior with a mild baking soda and water solution, connect the power cord, set the temperature control to 4, and allow the freezer to operate for at least 4 hours before adding food.
Temperature Control: Select temperature by setting the control from "Min" to "Max" (coldest). Adjust one step at a time and allow several hours for stabilization. Turning to OFF stops cooling but not power.
Power-On Light: Indicates proper electrical connection. Glows even when the temperature control is OFF.
Key-Ejecting Lock: To lock/unlock, press and turn the key. If lost, contact dealer or visit GEApplianceParts.com. Keep key out of reach of children.
Troubleshooting and error codes
