Starting the Freezer: Clean the interior, connect to power, set temperature control to 4, and allow to operate for at least 4 hours before loading food. For No-Frost models, set the Temperature Monitor or High-Temp Alarm Switch to OFF initially, then ON after sufficient cooling.
Temperature Control: Allow 4 hours for complete cool down. Freeze only 3 lbs of fresh food per cubic foot at a time. Distribute evenly. Turning control to OFF stops cooling but not power.
Electromechanical Temperature Control: Preset, adjustable for temperature range. Allow hours to stabilize. Located on the outside left (chest) or inside (upright).
Electronic Temperature Control: Located on the front door. Use Colder/Warmer buttons to adjust. Alarm feature alerts if temperature exceeds 23°F. Control can be locked by pressing Alarm Reset for 3 seconds. Displays 'E' for error.
