Basic Operation
The GE Time Switch is a universal electromechanical timer that can be field configured for various power supply voltages (120VAC, 208/240VAC, 277VAC). It is designed for controlling lighting, heating, air conditioning, pumps, motors, and other electrical circuits in residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural facilities.
Programming the Timer:
- Ensure all segments on the timer dial are pushed up.
- Push down the segments that fall on or within the desired ON time period.
- Push down segments for the desired OFF time period.
- Rotate the dial clockwise until the pointer indicates the current time.
Manual Control:
The master switch allows manual override:
- TIMER: Engages programmed schedule.
- OFF: Turns the controlled load OFF.
- ON: Turns the controlled load ON.
Indicators:
- Power LED (Orange): Illuminates when power is applied to the timer.
- Status LED (Green): Illuminates when power is applied to the load.
Important Notes:
- Always turn off power at the main panel before installation or servicing.
- Use only copper conductors.
