Making a Call

Pick up the handset, press the talk/callback button, listen for a dial tone, and dial the number. Press talk/callback to hang up.

Answering a Call

Pick up the handset and press the talk/callback button. Press talk/callback to hang up.

Using Intercom

Press the page/int button on the handset, select the desired handset number, and wait for the other handset to answer. Press exit or page/int to deactivate.

Call Waiting

If a call is waiting, you will hear a beep and Caller ID information will display. Press the flash button to switch to the waiting call.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
No dial tone Check installation: power cord, telephone line cord. Connect another phone. Check range, battery charge, battery installation. Reset unit by placing handset in cradle for 20 seconds.
Dial tone is OK, but can't dial out Ensure TONE/PULSE dialing mode matches your phone service.
Handset does not ring Verify ringer switch is ON. Check if handset is out of range. Unplug other extension phones. Check for dial tone.
Static, noise, or fading Move handset closer to base. Ensure base is not plugged into an outlet with other appliances. Charge battery for 12 hours.
Unit beeps Clean charging contacts. See "No dial tone" solutions. Replace battery.
Memory dialing doesn't work Check if memory keys were programmed correctly and if dialing sequence was followed.
Unit locks up Unplug AC power, remove battery, wait 30 seconds, plug back in. Reconnect battery and charge for 12 hours.
Charge Indicator on Base Flashes Indicates a waiting message if you subscribe to voice messaging. Stops flashing after message is reviewed.
Caller ID - No Display Ensure battery is charged (12 hours) or replaced. Check for a non-switched electrical outlet. Disconnect and reconnect AC power.
Caller ID Error Message Indicates interference or noise on the line.
No Caller ID Verify subscription to Caller ID service.
Battery issues (short talk time, poor quality, limited range) Recharge or replace the battery pack.
