BASIC OPERATION

Making a Call: Press TALK before dialing. Press TALK to hang up.

Receiving a Call: Press TALK on the handset.

Volume: Use VOL buttons to adjust volume.

Mute: Press MUTE to talk privately.

Ringer Switch: Must be ON for handset to ring.

Finding the Handset: Press PAGE on the base.

CALLER ID FEATURES

Displays caller information. Stores up to 40 calls. If you have Caller ID with Call Waiting, you can see who is calling when you hear the waiting tone.

MEMORY FEATURE

Stores up to ten 24-digit numbers for quick dialing. Press MEM, then memory location number (0-9), and MEM again to store.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem	Solution
No dial tone	Check installation, ensure connections, verify range, charge battery, check battery pack, verify TALK button and IN-USE indicator, reset on base.
Dial tone OK, but no line	Ensure T/P switch is correct.
Handset does not ring	Ensure RINGER is ON, move closer to base, consider reducing extensions.
Static, noise, or weak sound	Change channels, ensure base, relocate base, charge battery.
Appliance beeps	Reset on base, charge battery, clean contacts.
Memory Dialing does not work	Check memory programming, follow proper sequence.
Display shows nothing	Check battery charge, ensure electrical connection, confirm Caller ID service.
Error in Caller ID Message	Line noise or invalid message from phone company.
No messages/tone heard	Adjust volume.
Time programming stuck	Program the clock.
Answers on 10th ring	Ensure answering machine is ON, check for full memory.
Incomplete messages	Check extensions, full memory, or accidental PLAY button press.
No response to remote commands	Use touch-tone phone, enter security code, check auto-hang up.
