GE provides a one-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship for the cooktop.
Turning On/Off: Touch and hold the "On/Off" pad for half a second. A chime will sound. To turn off, touch the "On/Off" pad for an individual burner or the "All Off" pad.
Adjusting Power Level: Swipe the gray arc, touch anywhere along the gray arc, or use the "+" or "-" pads. For a shortcut to Hi, touch "+" immediately after turning the unit on. For a shortcut to Low, touch "-" immediately after turning the unit on.
Element Cycling: Surface elements cycle on and off to maintain selected temperature. This is normal and helps prevent overheating.
Adjust Burner Size: Some elements have adjustable ring sizes. Select the ring size by pressing the burner ring graphic.
Synchronize Left Elements: To turn on, hold the "Sync Burners" pad for half a second. Operate either element to adjust power. To turn off, touch the "On/Off" pad on either burner or touch "Sync Burners" to turn both off.
Timers: Use the "Timer Select" pad to set a kitchen timer. The timer does not control the cooking elements.
Lockout: Touch and hold the "Control Lock" pad for 3 seconds to lock or unlock the controls.

| Areas of discoloration on the cooktop | Food spillovers not cleaned before next use. Hot surface on a model with a light-colored glass cooktop. | See the Cleaning the glass cooktop section. This is normal. The surface may appear discolored when it is hot. This is temporary and will disappear as the glass cools. |

| Pitting (or indentation) of the cooktop | Hot sugar mixture spilled on the cooktop. | Call a qualified technician for replacement. |
| Unresponsive keypad | Keypad is dirty. A fuse in your home may be blown or the circuit breaker tripped. | Clean the keypad. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. |
