Warranty Information

Product failure due to improper installation is not covered under the Warranty.

Installation Steps:

  1. Before You Begin: Read all instructions carefully. Save instructions for future reference and for local inspector's use. Ensure proper grounding and observe all codes and ordinances.
  2. Electrical Requirements: Connect to a properly grounded branch circuit with the correct voltage and frequency. Use a qualified electrician. Ensure wiring conforms to the National Electrical Code.
  3. Preparing the Opening: Maintain minimum clearance dimensions for overhead cabinets, side walls, and rear walls. Ensure cabinets and wall coverings can withstand temperatures up to 200°F.
  4. Overall Cooktop Dimensions: Refer to the provided dimensions for overall cooktop size.
  5. Cutout Dimensions: Create a cutout in the countertop to fit the cooktop. A filler trim kit is available if the cutout is larger than specified.
  6. Installing the Cooktop: Install the junction box, protect the cooktop surface, attach foam tape, locate mounting parts, attach brackets to the cooktop, and insert the cooktop into the cutout. Secure hold-down brackets to the cabinet.
  7. Electrical Connections: Connect the cooktop conduit wires to the junction box according to grounding instructions and local codes.
  8. Checklists: Perform pre-test and operation checklists to ensure proper installation and function.

Note to Electrician: Power leads are UL recognized for connections to larger gauge household wiring. Handle aluminum wiring connections with special UL approved connectors.
