1. Familiarize yourself with your new Z-Wave device.
  • Do not exceed 600 watts (incandescent); 1800W (15A) resistive or 1/2 HP motor. Total load capacity for both outlets is 1800W (15A) resistive.
  • A Z-Wave controlled AC outlet for standard incandescent lighting, CFL/LED lamps, fans or small appliances.
  • Remote ON/OFF control via the Z-Wave remote.
  • Manual ON/OFF control with the front panel push-button.
  • Always ON pass-through outlet.
  • Does not block the lower outlet when plugged into the upper outlet of a duplex wall plate. (Assumes duplex wall plate is mounted with the ground prong facing down.)
  • Plugs and cords for connected devices route to the side allowing close placement.
  • Grounded 3-wire power connection for safety.
2. Plug the lighting device you wish to control into the Z-Wave controlled outlet on the wireless smart switch.3. Plug the wireless smart switch directly into an available grounded outlet (top outlet recommended). NOTE: Connect directly into the outlet. Do not use extension cords.
