Single Wall Oven Controls

  • Bake: Touch to select bake function.
  • Broil: Touch to select broil function.
  • Proof: Helps yeast bread rise.
  • Warm: Keeps hot food warm.
  • Clean: Select Self Clean or Steam Clean.
  • Start: Press to start any function.
  • Cancel/Off: Cancels all operations except clock and timer.
  • Cook Time: Sets countdown cooking time.
  • Set Clock: Sets oven clock time.
  • Timer: Countdown timer.
  • Oven Light: Turns oven light on/off.
  • Lock Controls: Locks control pads.
  • Delay Time: Delays oven start time.
  • Remote Enable: Connects oven to app for remote control.

Double Wall Oven Controls

  • Upper/Lower Oven: Designates oven for controls.
  • Functions 2-15 are similar to single wall oven controls.

Special Features

  • Adjust Oven Temperature: Adjust baking temp +/- 35°F.
  • Sound Volume: Adjust oven tone volume.
  • End of Timer Signals: Set continuous or repeating beep.
  • Fahrenheit/Celsius Display: Choose temperature display.
  • Clock Display: Turn clock on/off.
  • Clock Configuration: Set 12-hour or 24-hour time display.
  • 12-Hour Shutoff: Oven automatically turns off after 12 hours.
  • Sabbath Mode: Disables certain functions for religious observance.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause What To Do
My new oven doesn't cook like my old one. Different cooking system. Follow recipe times carefully; adjust temperature yourself if needed.
Food does not bake properly Oven controls improperly set. Rack position incorrect. Incorrect cookware. Oven temperature needs adjustment. Ingredient substitution. See Cooking Modes, Cooking Guide, Cookware sections. Adjust temperature via Special Features.
Food does not broil properly Oven controls improperly set. Improper rack position. Hot pan. Cookware not suited for broiling. Aluminum foil used improperly. Low power (voltage). Select appropriate broil mode. See Cooking Guide. Ensure cookware is cool. Use broil pan. Preheat broil element for 10 minutes if power is low.
Oven temperature too hot or too cold Oven temperature needs adjustment. See Special Features section.
Oven does not work or appears not to work Blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker. Oven controls improperly set. Oven in Sabbath Mode. Replace fuse/reset breaker. See Using the Oven. Verify Sabbath Mode is off via Special Features.
"Crackling" or "popping" sound Metal heating/cooling during cooking/cleaning. This is normal.
Why is my range making a "clicking" noise when using my oven? Oven heating elements cycling for tighter temperature control. This is normal.
Clock and timer do not work Blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker. Replace fuse/reset breaker.
Sometimes the oven takes longer to preheat Cookware or food in oven. Number of racks in oven. Remove items to reduce preheat time. Remove racks.
Oven light does not work Bulb loose or defective. Pad light broken. Tighten or replace bulb. Call for service.
Oven will not self-clean Temperature too high for self-clean. Oven controls improperly set. Excessive soil or grease. Allow oven to cool. See Cleaning the Oven. Wipe up excess soil/grease, then restart.
Excessive smoking during clean cycle Excessive soil or grease. Press Cancel/Off. Open windows. Wait for indicator to go off. Wipe up soil and reset.
Excessive smoking during broiling Food too close to burner element. Lower rack position.
Oven door will not open after a clean cycle Oven too hot. Allow oven to cool below locking temperature.
Oven not clean after a clean cycle Oven controls improperly set. Oven was heavily soiled. See Cleaning the Oven. Clean heavy spillovers before starting cycle. May need to self-clean again or longer.
flashes in the display Self-clean selected but door not closed. Close the oven door.
is on when you want to cook Door locked due to oven temperature not dropping below locking temp. Press Cancel/Off. Allow oven to cool.
"F– and a number or letter" flash in the display Function error code. Press Cancel/Off. Allow to cool for one hour, then restart. If repeats, call for service.
Display goes blank Blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker. Clock is off. Oven in Sabbath Mode. Replace fuse/reset breaker. Reset clock. Verify Sabbath Mode is off.
Power outage, clock flashes Power outage or surge. Reset clock. Reset any cooking functions.
"Burning" or "oily" odor emitting from the vent Normal in new oven, will disappear. Set self-clean for 3 hours to speed process.
Strong odor Normal insulation odor for first few uses. Temporary, will go away after several uses or self-clean.
Fan noise Cooling fan may run. Normal. Fan cools internal parts, may run up to 1.5 hours after oven is off.
My oven door glass appears to be "tinted" or have a "rainbow" color. Is this defective? Inner glass coated with heat barrier. Normal. Do not confuse with tint or rainbow color.
Oven will not work remotely Router issues, no wireless signal, oven not connected. Call 800.220.6899 for assistance.
