Warranty Information

GE Appliances warrants the refrigerator against defects in materials or workmanship for one year. Sealed refrigeration system is covered for five years.

Controls

The temperature controls are preset at 37°F (2.8°C) for the refrigerator and 0°F (-17.8°C) for the freezer. Allow 24 hours for stabilization. Controls can display SET and actual temperatures. Some models have a 'warmest' setting to stop cooling. Turning off via touch panel does not shut off power. TurboCool rapidly cools the refrigerator.

Performance Air Flow System

Maximizes temperature control with an Air Tower and Air Tunnel. Avoid blocking louvers.

Water Filter Cartridge - XWFE

Located in the upper-right rear of the refrigerator. Replace every six months or if water flow decreases. Use bypass plug if replacement filter is unavailable.

Shelves and Bins

Various bins and shelves can be removed and repositioned for storage. Instructions are provided for door bins, slide-out shelves, freezer baskets, QuickSpace shelf, slide-out freezer shelves, fixed freezer shelves, wine/beverage rack, ShelfSaver rack, door can rack, and removable beverage rack.

Refrigerator Doors

Doors feature a stop position and self-closing mechanism. Door alignment can be adjusted with a 7/16" socket wrench.

Crispers and Pans

Fruit and vegetable crispers have adjustable humidity controls. The convertible deli pan has variable temperature control. Instructions are provided for removing and replacing drawers.

Automatic Icemaker

Produces cubes, requires potable cold water supply (40-120 psi). First few batches should be discarded. Feeler arm stops ice production when bin is full. Avoid contact with moving parts. Special notes for dispenser models and tilt-out ice bins.

Ice and Water Dispenser

Select cubed ice, crushed ice, or water. Press glass against cradle. Spill shelf is not self-draining. Purge air from the water line after installation. Lock dispenser to prevent use. Filter indicator light shows filter status. Important facts about dispenser use are provided.
