Setup and Connection

Connect the antenna/cable to the ANTENNA jack. Plug the TV into a power outlet. Insert batteries into the remote. Turn on the TV and perform an Auto Channel Search. Optionally, connect an external speaker.

Using the Remote Control

Use POWER to turn on/off. PREV CH to switch between the last two channels. DISPLAY to show time/channel. MUTE to silence audio. CHAN ^/v to change channels or navigate menus. VOL +/- to adjust volume or menu settings. MENU to access main menu. RESET to restore picture settings. CLEAR to dismiss screen displays. Number buttons for direct channel access. INPUT to switch to channel 3. SKIP for commercial bypass.

Menu System Navigation

Press MENU to access the TV Main Menu. Use CHAN ^/v to highlight options and MENU or the corresponding number button to select. Navigate Picture Quality, Screen, Channel, V-Chip Parental Controls, and Time menus to adjust settings.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause & Solution
TV will not turn on or controls don't work
  • Check if plugged in.
  • Verify wall outlet is live.
  • If using DC cord, ensure car ignition is on.
  • Unplug TV for one minute, then plug back in.
  • Ensure Front Panel Lock is not set.
Problems with remote
  • Ensure clear line of sight to the TV's remote sensor.
  • Aim remote directly at the sensor.
  • Replace batteries if weak, dead, or installed incorrectly.
Turns on or off while playing
  • Electronic protection circuit may have activated due to power surge. Wait 30 seconds and try again.
  • Check if Sleep Timer or Alarm Timer is activated.
Blank screen or black box appears
  • Try another channel.
  • Press RESET to adjust picture controls.
  • Check Closed-Caption Display settings in the Screen menu.
No sound, picture okay
  • Ensure sound is not muted. Press volume up.
No picture, no sound, but power is on
  • Check cable/air function setting.
  • Try another channel; it might be vacant.
Sound okay, picture poor
  • Check antenna connections.
  • Adjust sharpness function for weak signals.
