Before Operating Your Washer
Read your washer Use and Care Guide for important safety, warranty, and usage information.
Operating Steps
- Sort laundry by fabric type and soil level.
- Prepare items for washing.
- Pretreat stains and heavy soil.
- Add laundry load to the wash drum.
- Add measured detergent, liquid bleach, and fabric softener to the dispenser drawer. Close the drawer; the washer will not operate with it open.
- Set the Temperatures switch based on fabric type and soil level.
- Optionally select Extra Rinse for Whites/Regular, Colors/Perm Press, or Delicates cycles.
- Select the desired Final Spin Speed (Normal or Fast).
- Push in the cycle selector knob and turn clockwise to the desired wash cycle and setting.
- Start the washer by closing the door and pulling out the cycle selector knob. The door locks automatically during the cycle. The Door Lock Indicator lights up when the cycle starts and turns off at the end.
- To stop, push in the cycle selector knob. To change a cycle, push in the knob and turn clockwise. Pull out the knob to restart.
- Remove items when the cycle ends. A signal will sound if Cycle Signal is ON.
Note: Water in bleach/softener compartments is normal due to siphoning action.
Cycle Selection
- Whites/Regular Cycle: Up to 18 minutes of reversing tumble action. Options: Heavy Wash, Wash, Light Wash.
- Short Wash Cycle: Saves time and water. Up to 6 minutes of tumble action. Extra Rinse is not an option.
- Colors/Perm Press Cycle: Up to 13 minutes of reversing tumble action for no-iron finishes. Options: Wash, Extra Care.
- Knits and Delicates Cycle: Up to 10 minutes of gentle tumble action.
Controls
- Temperature: Sets wash and rinse temperatures.
- Precision Temp Control: Regulates warm/cold wash water temperature for optimal detergent performance.
- Extra Rinse: Use for additional rinsing. Select YES or NO.
- Final Spin: Normal (recommended) or Fast (faster water extraction).
- Cycle Signal: ON or OFF for end-of-cycle signal.
Note: Washer automatically adjusts water level. Detergents less effective below 65°F (18.3°C).
