- Powering On/Off: Long press the power button to turn the DVR on and enter video mode, or to turn it off. If connected to a car charger, it will automatically turn on and start recording.
- Video Recording: Press the record button to start and stop recording. The DVR will save the current file and go to standby mode. Press the OK button in standby mode to restart or pause recording. Short press the power button in video mode to toggle sound on/off.
- Taking Photos: Enter photo mode and press the shutter button to take photos with an audible prompt.
- Playback and Deletion: In standby mode, press the playback button twice to enter playback mode. Use the navigation buttons to select files and the playback button to play or pause. Short press navigation buttons to fast forward or rewind. To delete, stop playback and access the delete menu to choose 'delete current' or 'delete all'.

Troubleshooting and error codes

| DVR malfunction, color change, housing, or image distortion due to temperature | Avoid continuous exposure to sunlight, especially in enclosed cabin temperatures exceeding 70°C. Operate within the specified temperature range (-10°C to 50°C). |
| Low battery | The DVR will display 'Low Battery', automatically save the current file, and shut down. |
| MicroSD card not inserted | The LCD screen will display 'Please insert SD card'. |
