Recording an Image:

  1. Turn the camera ON.
  2. Align the dial to snapshot mode.
  3. Compose the image on the monitor screen or viewfinder.
  4. Press the shutter button halfway to lock exposure.
  5. Press the shutter button fully to record the image.

Using the Flash:

  1. In recording mode, press the flash button to cycle through modes (Auto, On, Off).
  2. The selected mode will be indicated on the screen.

Zooming:

  1. In recording mode, press the zoom buttons to change zoom factor between 2X and 1X.

Playback:

  1. Align the dial to play mode.
  2. Use the [+] and [-] buttons to scroll through images.
  3. Hold [+] or [-] for high-speed scrolling.

Deleting Images:

  1. In play mode, select the image to delete.
  2. Press the WB button.
  3. Confirm deletion by pressing the shutter release button.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Action
Power does not turn on. Batteries are not oriented correctly. Orient batteries correctly (page 30).
Batteries are dead. Replace batteries with a full set of new ones (page 30).
Wrong AC adaptor type being used. Use only an AD-C620/C630 AC adaptor.

Images are not displayed. A memory card with non-DCF images recorded with another camera is loaded in the camera. This camera cannot display non-DCF images recorded onto a memory card using another digital camera.
All buttons and switches are disabled. Circuit problem caused by electrostatic charge, impact, etc. while the camera was connected to another device. Remove the camera's batteries, disconnect the AC adaptor, replace the batteries, and turn on power again.
Monitor screen is off. USB cable is connected. After confirming that the computer is not accessing the memory card, disconnect the USB cable.
