Safe Installation Practices

  • Ensure proper grounding of the appliance.

Gas Supply and Connection

  • Connect to a properly sized gas supply line (1/2" or 3/4").
  • Install an approved manual shutoff valve.
  • Use pipe-joint compound for gas connections.

  • The cooktop is designed for natural gas at 5" of manifold pressure.

Electrical Requirements

Operation Check

  • Remove foam caps.
  • Turn on electrical power and main shutoff gas valve.
  • Check igniters by pushing and turning knobs to LITE.
  • Adjust burner flame size as needed.

Burner does not ignite No gas supply Check gas shutoff valve.
Ignition system failure Check electrical connection and igniter module.
Clogged burner ports Clean burner ports.
Flame too high or low Incorrect gas pressure Adjust gas pressure regulator.
Improper air mixture (not applicable to surface burners) Refer to specific burner adjustment instructions if applicable.
Gas odor Gas leak Immediately turn off gas supply, ventilate the area, and call the gas supplier or fire department. DO NOT use any electrical switches or phones.
