WASHER SAFETY: Always read and obey all safety messages. "DANGER" means immediate death or serious injury. "WARNING" means death or serious injury if instructions are not followed. Key precautions include reading all instructions before use, not washing flammable items, not adding flammable substances to wash water, releasing accumulated hydrogen gas from hot water systems, supervising children, removing doors before discarding, not reaching into moving parts, not exposing to weather, not tampering with controls, and seeking qualified service.
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS: Gather tools and parts. Ensure a water heater is set to 120°F (49°C), a grounded electrical outlet is accessible, hot and cold water faucets are within 3 ft. (0.9 m) with 20-100 psi pressure, and the floor is level with a maximum slope of 1" (25 mm). The floor must support 315 lbs (143 kg). Avoid installation where exposed to weather or temperatures below 32°F (0°C).
DRAIN SYSTEM: Options include floor drain, wall standpipe, floor standpipe, or laundry tub. Specific height and capacity requirements apply to each.
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires a 120 V, 60 Hz, AC only, 15 or 20 A fused electrical supply. Use a grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not use adapters or extension cords.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Move washer upright, remove shipping base and packing tray, free power cord. Connect drain hose to drain port, then to standpipe, wall standpipe, or laundry tub. Connect inlet hoses to water faucets, then to washer. Check for leaks. Level the washer by adjusting feet. Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet.
COMPLETE INSTALLATION CHECKLIST: Verify electrical requirements, all parts installed, tools present, shipping materials removed, washer level, faucets on, no leaks, protective film/tape removed, plugged into grounded outlet, packaging disposed, and read "Washer Care" section. Test and clean by running a full cycle with half the recommended detergent.
WASHER MAINTENANCE AND CARE: Replace inlet hoses every 5 years. Use High Efficiency (HE) detergents as recommended. Use warm/hot water washes periodically. Leave the lid open between uses. Clean the washer interior monthly using the "Clean Washer" cycle with affresh® cleaner or liquid chlorine bleach. Clean dispensers and exterior with mild soap.
NON-USE AND VACATION CARE: Operate only when home. Unplug washer and turn off water supply if not in use for extended periods.
WINTER STORAGE CARE: Install and store where it won't freeze. Shut off water, disconnect hoses, drain water, add RV antifreeze to basket, and unplug.
TRANSPORTING WASHER: Shut off water, disconnect hoses, drain water. Follow winter storage instructions if freezing weather. Disconnect drain hose, unplug, place hoses inside basket, secure cord, replace packing tray, tape lid shut, and transport upright.
REINSTALLING/USING WASHER AGAIN: Refer to installation manual for setup. Flush pipes, reconnect hoses, turn on water, plug in. Run a "BEDDING" cycle with HE detergent (half recommended amount) to clean and remove antifreeze.
