Charging the Battery: Connect the camera to a computer or USB adapter using the included cable. The camera status light indicates charging status.
Inserting/Removing microSD Cards: Slide the card into the slot with the label facing the GoPro logo. To remove, press the card gently.
Powering On/Off: Press the Power/Mode button once to turn on. Press and hold for two seconds to turn off.
Camera Modes: Cycle through Video, Photo, Burst, Time Lapse, and Settings modes using the Power/Mode button.
Video: Enter Video mode, press the Shutter/Select button to start recording, press again to stop.
Photo: Enter Photo mode, press the Shutter/Select button to capture a single photo.
Burst: Enter Burst mode, press the Shutter/Select button to capture multiple photos in quick succession.
Time Lapse: Enter Time Lapse mode, press the Shutter/Select button to capture photos at set intervals.
Navigate to Settings mode to adjust resolution, spot meter, orientation, QuikCapture, video format, LEDs, beeps, date/time, and delete files.
