Getting Started

  • Charging the Battery: Use the included USB cable to charge the integrated battery. The camera can be charged when powered off or on.
  • Inserting microSD Cards: Insert a microSD card with the label facing the back of the camera. Ensure it meets requirements (Class 10/UHS-I, up to 64GB).
  • Powering On/Off: Press the Power/Mode button once to power on. Press and hold for two seconds to power off.

Camera Modes

  • Cycle through modes (Video, Photo, Burst, Time Lapse, Setup) using the Power/Mode button.
  • Access mode-specific settings by pressing the Settings/Tag button.

Capturing Content

  • Video: Select Video mode, press Shutter/Select to start/stop recording.
  • Photos: Select Photo mode, press Shutter/Select to capture.
  • Burst Photos: Select Burst mode, press Shutter/Select to capture 10 photos in 2 seconds.
  • Time Lapse: Select Time Lapse mode, press Shutter/Select to capture a series of photos at intervals.

Connecting to GoPro App

  • Download the GoPro App, open it, and follow on-screen instructions to connect your camera.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Solution
MY GOPRO WON'T POWER ON Make sure your GoPro is charged. Use the included USB cable and a computer, or the GoPro Wall or Auto Charger.
MY GOPRO WON'T RESPOND WHEN I PRESS A BUTTON Press and hold the Power/Mode button for eight seconds to reset your camera. This reset saves content and settings and powers off the camera.
MY PLAYBACK IS CHOPPY
  • Use an compatible video player (H.264 codec). GoPro Studio software is recommended.
  • Ensure your computer meets minimum requirements for HD playback. Close other programs.
  • Transfer files to the computer for playback, especially high bitrate HD video.
I FORGOT MY CAMERA'S USERNAME OR PASSWORD See Resetting Your Camera's Wireless Name and Password (page 36).
I POWERED OFF MY GOPRO, BUT THE BLUE LIGHT IS STILL BLINKING The blue light indicates wireless is on. To turn off wireless, press and hold the Settings/Tag button until the wireless status lights blink rapidly and turn off.
