First Use

Before using the cooktop for the first time, remove any protective coating. Boil a saucepan of water on each plate for 10 minutes. Ensure good ventilation as a smell and smoke are normal during this initial process.

Using Your Cooktop

1. Ensure all temperature control knobs are set to 'O' (off). 2. Switch on the electricity. 3. Select the hotplate. Rapid hotplates (with a red dot) heat up 30% faster than regular hotplates. 4. Turn the control knob to the desired heat setting (six distinct settings available). Do not use intermediate positions.

Cookware and Cooking Tips

- Use pans with thick, flat bases. - Match the pan base diameter to the hotplate. - Ensure the pan bottom is dry. - Use tight-fitting lids to save energy. - To reduce cooking time, start on maximum heat and then reduce it. - Electric plates retain heat, so turn off the heat a short time before finishing cooking.

Important!

- Never turn on a hotplate without a saucepan. - Never cook food directly on the hotplates. - Do not place wet or steamed-up lids on unused hotplates. - Do not use decorative covers over the hotplates. - Never leave handles overhanging the benchtop or other hotplates.
