Haier offers a two-year limited in-home warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship.
Electric Gas Ignition: The gas burner uses an electric ignition device near each burner that sparks automatically to light the surface.
Burner Control: Push and turn the knob counterclockwise. All spark plugs will generate a clicking sound, but only the burner with the turned knob will produce a flame. The ignition device automatically re-ignites if the flame goes out.
Burner Flames: Flames should be blue with no yellow trace. The inner cone should be 1/2" to 3/4" long.
Cleaning: Ensure all controls are off and surfaces are cool. Use a soapy sponge, rinse, and dry. For stubborn soil, follow recommended methods. Always use the mildest cleaner. Rub stainless steel in the direction of the grain.
| Issue | Possible Solutions |
|---|---|
| Ignition Will Not Operate | Check if power cord is unplugged; plug into a grounded outlet. Check household fuse or circuit breaker. |
| Surface Burners Will Not Operate | Ensure this is not the first use; turn a knob to release air. Check if control knob is set correctly (push in before turning). Check for clogged burner ports. |
| Surface Burner Flames Are Uneven Yellow and/or Noisy | Check for clogged burner ports. Ensure burner caps are positioned correctly. If using propane, check for improper conversion. |
| Surface Burner Makes Popping Noises | Ensure the burner is dry. Check if cap and gas spreader are correctly positioned. |
| Excessive Heat Around Cookware on Cooktop | Use cookware approximately the same size as the burner. It should not extend more than 1" (2.5 cm) outside the cooking area. |
| Cooktop Cooking Results Not What Expected | Ensure proper cookware is being used and the control knob is set to the correct heat level. |
