Basic Operation

This manual guides you through the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Haier Microwave Oven (Model: HDS-2380EG). Key operations include:

Oven not starting Power cord not plugged in. Plug in the power cord securely.
Oven not starting Door is not closed properly. Close the door securely.
Oven not heating Incorrect power level or time setting. Select appropriate power level and time.
Oven not heating Magnetron failure. CONTACT YOUR NEAREST SERVICE CENTER APPROVED.
Sparking inside the oven Metal container or foil used. Remove metal objects. Use microwave-safe containers.
Sparking inside the oven Waveguide cover is dirty or damaged. Clean or replace the waveguide cover.
Unusual odor Food residue inside the oven. Clean the oven interior. (See page 17 for cleaning tips).
Unusual odor New oven smell. Operate the oven empty on grill mode several times. (See page 2).
