Setting Up Your TV

  1. Connect the stand or wall mount.
  2. Connect the antenna or cable.
  3. Insert batteries into the remote control.
  4. Plug the TV into a power outlet.
  5. Turn on the TV using the remote or side button.
  6. Follow the on-screen setup wizard for language, time zone, and signal source.

Using Your TV

  • Use the INPUT button to select sources (TV, HDMI, USB, etc.).
  • Use the MENU button to access settings like Picture, Audio, Channel, Setup, and Lock.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Symptoms Items to Check and Actions to Follow
"Ghost" or double image • Obstruction to antenna (high buildings/hills). Consider a directional antenna.
No power • Check AC power cord connection. Plug into outlet. Unplug TV, wait 60 seconds, plug back in and turn on.
No picture • Check antenna connections at the rear of the TV. Possible broadcast station issue; try another channel. Adjust contrast and brightness. Check Closed Captions (TEXT modes can block screen).
Good picture but no sound • Increase volume using VOL+ on remote or side panel. Ensure MUTE is off.
Good sound but poor color • Adjust contrast, color, and brightness settings.
Poor picture • Poor quality may occur with activated S-VHS camera/camcorder connected simultaneously with other peripherals. Switch off one peripheral.
Snowy picture and noise • Check antenna connection.
Horizontal dotted line • Electrical interference (hair dryer, neon lights, etc.). Turn off interfering equipment.
Television not responding to remote control • Check batteries. Replace if necessary. Clean remote control sensor lens on TV. Use side buttons on TV.
Pixels (dots) that are always dark or always lit • This is inherent to high-tech displays and does not constitute a defective product.
