Powering On and Off

Press the START/STOP button to turn the device on or off. It will automatically shut off after 1 minute of inactivity.

Setting Date and Time

Insert batteries or press and hold START/STOP for 5 seconds to enter setting mode. Use the memory buttons to select time format (12/24h), date, and time, then confirm each step with the START/STOP button.

Taking a Measurement

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Do not consume nicotine or coffee in the hour prior.
  3. Do not measure if you have a strong urge to urinate.
  4. Measure on a bare arm with the patient sitting upright.
  5. Keep the cuff at heart level (for arm monitors, the cuff adjusts automatically).
  6. Do not talk or move during measurement.
  7. Wait 1 minute between measurements.
  8. Document values (date, time, medications) with Veroval® medi.connect.
  9. Take measurements regularly.
  10. Always take measurements at the same time of day.

Applying the Cuff

  1. Insert the cuff connector into the device.
  2. Do not twist the cuff tube.
  3. Measure on a bare arm. Thread the end of the cuff through the metal ring, close the Velcro.
  4. The cuff opening should be at the elbow crease, with the air tube centered on the inner side of the elbow.
  5. Adjust the cuff snugly but not too tight (two fingers should fit between the arm and the cuff).

Performing the Measurement

  1. Take the measurement in a quiet, relaxed sitting position.
  2. The right or left arm can be used, but the left is recommended.
  3. Always measure on the same arm and place the forearm on a surface.
  4. Rest your back against the chair, feet flat on the floor, legs uncrossed. Ensure the cuff is at heart level.
  5. Do not measure after bathing or exercising.
  6. Do not eat, drink, or exercise for 30 minutes before measurement.
  7. Wait at least one minute between measurements.
  8. Press START/STOP to begin measurement.
  9. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  10. Do not move or talk during the measurement.
  11. Upon completion, blood pressure and pulse values will be displayed.
  12. The device will turn off automatically or when START/STOP is pressed.

Memory Function

Stores up to 100 measurements per user. Access memory by pressing user buttons (M or Å) with the device disconnected. You can view the average value, morning/evening averages, and individual readings.

Deleting Stored Data

Press and hold the user memory button (M or Å) for 5 seconds to delete all data for that user memory.
