This unit has been engineered for personal safety; follow instructions to prevent electrical shock or fire hazards.

  • When no sound is emitted from the speakers, check speaker cord connections and set the unit to STANDBY.
  • The unit has a muting circuit; allow 2-4 seconds for stable operation after turning ON.
  • Never open covers or touch the inside to avoid electric shock or faults.
  • Unplug the power cord and disconnect the antenna during thunderstorms.
  • Do not expose the apparatus to dripping or splashing.
  • Clean the cabinet and panels with a dry cloth. Do not use thinners, benzene, or alcohol.
  • Protect the unit from excessive heat, dust, and moisture.
  • Ensure proper ventilation by leaving at least 10 cm of space around the unit.
  • Handle the power cord carefully; pull by the plug, not the cord.
  • Do not place foreign objects in the disc compartment.
  • Allow 1-2 hours for condensation to dissipate after moving from a cold to a warm room.
  • Sudden shocks during playback may cause noise but are not malfunctions.
  • Be mindful of the wide dynamic range to prevent speaker damage.
  • Store discs in a cool, dry place.
  • Remove discs when not using the unit for extended periods.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Remedy
No sound from speakers Speaker cords are not properly connected. Set the unit to STANDBY, then check speaker cord connections.
Unit takes 2-4 seconds to stabilize after switching ON. This is normal due to the muting circuit. Allow the unit time to stabilize.
Electric shock or fault when opening covers or touching inside. Internal components are exposed or metal objects inserted. Never open covers or touch the inside.
Apparatus exposed to dripping or splashing. Liquid damage. Keep the unit away from liquids.
Surface finish damaged. Use of thinner, benzene, or alcohol for cleaning. Clean with a dry cloth only.
Poor ventilation leading to malfunctions. Unit installed in a confined space. Ensure at least 10 cm of space around the unit.
Mechanism damaged. Foreign objects placed in the disc compartment. Do not place foreign objects in the disc compartment.
Condensation on pickup lens causing playback issues. Moving from a very cold room to a warm room. Wait 1-2 hours for condensation to dissipate.
Noise during playback after a sudden shock. Unit received a sudden shock or jolt. This is not a malfunction.
Speaker damage due to loud passages. Amplifier volume set too high during quiet parts. Adjust amplifier volume carefully, considering the dynamic range.
Discs warp or become unplayable. Stored in high-temperature, high-humidity locations. Store discs in a cool, dry place. Wipe discs dry before use.
