Radio Section

Pull out the telescopic aerial for FM reception. For AM, use the built-in aerial. Tune using the TUNING knob and select BAND (FM STEREO, FM, AM).

CD Player Section

Open the CD door, place the disc with the printed side up, and close the door. Press PLAY/PAUSE to start playback. Use F.SKIP/SEARCH and B.SKIP/SEARCH to navigate tracks.

Cassette Deck Section

Insert a cassette tape. Use PLAY, REWIND, FAST FORWARD, PAUSE, and STOP buttons for operation. RECORD button is used for recording.

Recording

To record from radio, select RADIO function, tune to the desired station, and press RECORD.

To record from CD, select CD function, insert CD, and press RECORD.

Remote Control

Troubleshooting and error codes

CHECK THE FOLLOWING BEFORE CALLING FOR SERVICE
Power Symptom: No AC power. Cause: * Is the power cord connected properly?
Symptom: No DC power. Cause: * Are the batteries properly inserted in the battery compartment?
Tape recorder Symptom: Tape does not run when a button is pressed. Cause: * Are the batteries exhausted? * Is the cassette upside down?
Symptom: Cassette cannot be inserted. Cause: * Is the Pause button pressed? If so, unlock and release.
Symptom: No recording. Cause: * Are the accidental-erasure prevention tabs punched out? If so, cover the holes with plastic tape.
Symptom: Deteriorated sound or irregular tape speed. Cause: * Clean heads, capstan and pressure roller with a cleaning stick.
CD player Symptom: Slow tape speed or low volume. Cause: * Are the batteries exhausted?
Symptom: Disc is not played Cause: * Is the disc loaded upside down? *Is the disc scratched or warped? *Is the pick-up lens dirty? If so, clean it with a cleaning stick. * Is the disc scratched or otherwise flawed? * Is the disc soiled?
Symptom: Player does not operate correctly; sound is interrupted, noise occurs and tracks cannot be selected. * First press the Stop button then play disc again.
Symptom: Player does not operate normally when control buttons are pressed. * First press the Stop button then play disc again.
