Capturing Images

  1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the power on.
  2. Slide the mode switch to [0].
  3. Compose your image in the LCD monitor by using the zoom lever to zoom in or out.
  4. Press the shutter button halfway to focus and adjust exposure, then press fully to capture.

Setting the Scene Mode

  1. Slide the mode switch to [SCN].
  2. Select the desired scene mode with the navigation buttons and press SET.
  3. Compose and press the shutter button.

Recording Video Clips

  1. Slide the mode switch to [199].
  2. Compose the image.
  3. Press the shutter button to start recording. Press again to stop.

Playing Back Still Images

  1. Press the button.
  2. Use the navigation buttons to view images in sequence.
  3. Use the zoom lever to enlarge or return to normal magnification.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem The camera does not turn on. The battery is not inserted correctly or is depleted. Insert the battery correctly or charge it.
Problem Images are blurry. The camera is shaking or the focus is not set. Hold the camera steady or half-press the shutter button to focus before fully pressing it.
Problem The LCD screen is blank. The camera may be in standby mode or the battery is depleted. Press the ON/OFF button or charge the battery.
Problem Cannot record images or videos. The memory card is full or not inserted. Insert a memory card or transfer files to free up space.
Problem Date/Time is not displayed correctly. The date and time settings are incorrect. Set the date and time via the Setup menu.
