Powering ON/OFF: Connect the mains plug to the mains socket. The unit will enter STANDBY mode. Press the POWER button to switch the unit ON. Press the POWER button again to switch to STANDBY mode. Disconnect the mains plug to switch off completely.

DVD Playback: Press OPEN/CLOSE to open the disc tray, place a disc with the label facing up, then close the tray. Playback may start automatically or require pressing PLAY/PAUSE. Use ZOOM/MENU to access the disc menu.

Pause/Stop Playback: Press PLAY/PAUSE to pause and again to resume. Press STOP to stop playback, or twice to stop completely.

Volume Adjustment: Use VOL+/- buttons. Press MUTE to silence sound.

Navigation: Use PREV/NEXT to skip tracks/chapters. Use Fast Forward/Reverse buttons for speed adjustment.

Setup: Press SETUP to access system settings for language, video, audio, rating, and miscellaneous options.

Disc Handling: Avoid touching playback side, do not attach paper/tape. Clean discs from center outwards. Store discs away from heat, moisture, and dust. Clean the unit with a slightly moist, lint-free cloth.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Menu Description
No power.
  • Ensure the mains plug is connected.
  • Make sure that the unit is turned on.
  • Make sure that you have selected ON mode.
The remote control does not function.
  • Use the remote control near the unit.
  • Point the remote control at the remote sensor on the unit.
  • Replace the battery in the remote control with a new one.
  • Remove any obstacles between the remote control and the unit.
Very little or no sound is coming from a DVD.
  • Make sure the unit is not paused. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button on the unit or the remote control.
  • Make sure the unit is not in fast-forward or fast-reverse mode. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button on the unit or the remote control.
  • Make sure the AUDIO/VIDEO input/output connections are correct.
  • This unit does not support DTS audio decoding system. Press the AUDIO/ANGLE button on the remote control to change the audio setting to 2-Channel Analogue mode.
  • The unit has overheated. Shut it off for 30 minutes to allow it to cool down.
  • The volume control is too low. Increase the volume.
No picture. The region number of the disc doesn't match the region number of this unit.
The picture is not clear. The DVD is dirty. Gently clean the disc.
Loud hum or noise is heard.
  • The disc is scratched.
  • The plugs and sockets are dirty. Wipe them with a cloth slightly moistened with alcohol.
  • Clean the disc.
  • The disc is scratched or the file is corrupt.
The disc does not play.
  • There is no disc inside the unit (“No Disc” appears on the screen).
  • Insert the disc correctly with the graphics facing up.
  • Clean the disc.
  • A non-valid disc has been inserted, or the disc region number does not match the region number of the unit.
  • Condensation may have formed inside the unit due to a sudden change in temperature. Wait about an hour for it to clear and try again.
File from Disc does not play
  • Check the file format.
The unit does not respond when pressing any buttons
  • The unit may freeze up during use.
  • Disconnect the unit from the mains supply for 30 seconds and then reconnect.
