The Honeywell Pentax Spotmatic Ila is warranted for one year against defects in material or workmanship.
1. SET FILM SPEED: Lift the outer ring of the shutter speed dial and rotate to set the ASA number of the loaded film to the small red index. Cock the rapid wind lever.
2. SET SHUTTER SPEED: Turn the shutter speed dial to your desired speed (e.g., 1/125 sec. outdoors, 1/30 sec. indoors). Change as necessary.
3. COMPOSE AND FOCUS: View through the viewfinder and turn the distance scale ring until the subject image is sharp at the microprism center.
4. TURN ON LIGHT METER SWITCH: Push the switch to "ON". Observe the meter needle. Turn it off when not taking readings.
5. ROTATE DIAPHRAGM RING: Adjust the diaphragm ring until the meter needle is centered for correct exposure. If the needle doesn't center, adjust shutter speed.
6. RELEASE SHUTTER: Hold camera firmly and trip the shutter. The meter switch turns off automatically. Cock the rapid wind lever for the next picture.
7. SET STROBO-EYE FOR ELECTRONIC FLASH: Pull up rewind knob, set ASA, turn outer dial to range mark, and set lens to indicated f/stop.
