Short operating course

  1. Set Film Speed: Lift the outer ring of the shutter speed dial, turn it and set the film's ASA number to the red index. Cock the rapid wind lever.
  2. Set Shutter Speed: Turn the shutter speed dial to the desired speed. Use faster speeds outdoors (e.g., 1/125 sec.) and slower speeds indoors (e.g., 1/30 sec.).
  3. Compose and Focus: View through the viewfinder and turn the distance scale ring until the image is sharp.
  4. Turn On Light Meter Switch: Push the switch button. The meter is now active. Observe the needle in the viewfinder. Turn off when not taking readings.
  5. Rotate Diaphragm Ring: Adjust the diaphragm ring until the meter needle centers. If it doesn't center, change the shutter speed.
  6. Release Shutter: Hold the camera firmly and trip the shutter. The meter turns off automatically. Cock the rapid wind lever for the next shot.
