Warranty Information

Warranted for one year against defects in material or workmanship.

1. Set Film Speed: Lift the outer ring of the shutter speed dial and rotate to set the ASA number of the loaded film to the red index. Cock the rapid wind lever. 2. Set Shutter Speed: Turn the shutter speed dial to the desired speed. Use 1/125 sec. or faster outdoors, 1/30 sec. or nearby indoors. 3. Compose and Focus: View through the viewfinder and turn the distance scale ring until the subject image is sharp. 4. Turn on Light Meter Switch: Push the switch. Observe the meter needle. Turn off when not taking readings. 5. Rotate Diaphragm Ring: Adjust the ring until the needle is centered for correct exposure. Change shutter speed if needed. 6. Release Shutter: Hold camera firmly and trip shutter. The meter switches off, diaphragm reopens. Cock lever for next picture. 7. Set Strobo-Eye for Flash: Pull rewind knob, set film ASA. Turn outer dial to desired range mark and set lens to f/stop indicated. (Refer to page 18).

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Remedy
Shutter speeds are off the meter's measurability range. Meter is in "OFF" position or film speed is set incorrectly. Turn meter switch ON. Adjust film speed setting.
Lens diaphragm does not change automatically. Preview lever is in "MAN" position or meter switch is ON. Set preview lever to "AUTO". Turn meter switch OFF.
Battery drains quickly. Meter switch left ON. Always switch meter OFF when not in use.
Camera body or lens element scratched when removing lens. Lens placed on threaded end without rear cap. Always use the rear mount cap when placing lens down.
Failure in flash synchronization. Incorrect flash terminal, shutter speed, or flash bulb combination used. Follow the combinations in the Flash Synchronization table on page 17.
