Printer Overview

The PD45 printer series offers integrated USB, RS-232, and Ethernet connectivity for easy integration into various network environments. The printers support a wide range of command languages, including Fingerprint (FP), Direct Protocol (DP), IPL, ZSim, and DPL.

Basic Operation

Setup involves powering up the printer, which initiates a startup wizard for initial configuration. Users can calibrate the touch screen via the printer website or the touch panel. Media and ribbon loading procedures vary depending on the printing mode (tear-off, peel-off, rewind). The printer offers several wizards to assist with media loading, setup, and quality adjustments. Key features include a print button for various functions like feeding, pausing, and calibration, and status LEDs that indicate the printer's operational state. The printer can be configured through its front panel menu, a web page, or programming commands.
