1. **Determine Signal Strength and Location:** Mount the communicator indoors, prioritizing height and avoiding large metal objects for optimal signal strength. Use the signal quality LEDs to guide placement, aiming for 2-5 bars. Initial power-up may take up to 15 minutes for network initialization. Subsequent power-ups are faster. 2. **Mount and Wire:** Secure the case back to the mounting surface and connect the wires for AC power, GND, and ECP input/output as per the diagram. Ensure proper wire gauge for distance. Connect the battery if required. 3. **Connect Internet Cable:** Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the communicator's RJ45 port and the other into your cable/DSL router. For UL installations, this connection must be under 12 feet and within the same room. 4. **Setup Account, Program, and Register:** Set up an AlarmNet account via the AlarmNet 360 website or by calling AlarmNet. Program the communicator using AlarmNet 360 or the 7720P tool, entering required IDs and the device address. Register the communicator through AlarmNet 360, by clicking the tamper switch three times, or using the 7720P tool. Follow LED status indicators for registration progress and troubleshooting.
