Installation Guide for 40003916

The 40003916 is a replacement powerhead for various Honeywell fan coil and zone valves. It includes the motor, housing, and mounting screws. It is available for low or line voltage applications and is compatible with both new and old style valve bodies (with conversion for old style). The installation involves disconnecting power, removing the old powerhead, performing necessary conversions for old style valve bodies, installing the new powerhead, and reconnecting wiring.

Operation:

• Normally Closed: Energized powerhead opens the valve. De-energized state closes the valve. Can be manually opened and locked in the open position.
• Normally Open: De-energized powerhead opens the valve. Energized state closes the valve. Requires a reverse-acting thermostat.

Checkout: Initiate a call for heat to check valve opening and auxiliary switch operation. Lower the thermostat setting to confirm valve closure and auxiliary equipment shutdown.
