Getting Started

Attach the Camera Strap

To reduce the risk of dropping the camera, it is strongly recommended to attach and use the provided camera strap.

Inserting the Batteries

1. If batteries are installed, power off the camera before removing/inserting. 2. Open the battery/memory card compartment at the bottom. 3. Insert batteries with correct orientation. 4. Close and secure the compartment.

Inserting an SD/SDHC Memory Card

1. Power off the camera. 2. Open the compartment. 3. Insert the SD/SDHC card with metallic connectors facing the front. 4. Push until it clicks; repeat if it doesn't. 5. Close the compartment.

Initial Settings

Set display language and date/time using the 4-way navigation and OK button.

Modes

Slide the mode selector switch to Photo Mode, Video Mode, or Playback Mode.

Taking Photos

1. Power on. 2. Select Photo Mode. 3. Frame the shot. 4. Lightly press the Shutter button to focus (green bracket) or full press to take the photo.

Using the Function Menu

Press the FUNC button to adjust settings like resolution, EV, AWB, ISO, Metering, and Color.

Playback

Slide to Playback Mode. Use navigation keys to view images/videos/audio clips. Press OK to play movies/audio.

Using the Setup Menu

Access the Setup menu to configure general camera settings like Sounds, Power Save, LCD Save, Date & Time, and Language. Use navigation keys and OK button to select and save.
