Getting Started

Attaching the Wrist Strap: Insert the smaller loop of the strap into the eyelet, then thread the larger loop through the short loop and pull tight.

Inserting the Batteries: Open the battery compartment, insert AA batteries with the correct polarity, and close the compartment.

Inserting an SD/SDHC Memory Card: Open the card compartment, insert the card with metallic contacts facing the back, push until it clicks, and close the compartment.

Camera Views

Familiarize yourself with the front, back, top, and bottom views of the camera, noting the locations of buttons and ports.

Initial Settings

Upon first turning on the camera, you will be prompted to set the language and date/time.

Setting the Language: Navigate to the language setting in the Setup menu and select your preferred language.

Using Setup Menu: Access the Setup menu to configure various camera settings, including language, date & time, and more.

Setting Battery Type: Ensure accurate battery level display by selecting the correct battery type (Alkaline, NiMH, Lithium, Oxyride) in the Setup menu.

Modes

Shooting Mode: Used for capturing images and recording videos/audio. Offers various options like auto, video, and scene selection.

Playback Mode: Used to view, edit, and manage captured images, videos, and audio clips.

Switching Modes: Press the Play button to switch between Shooting and Playback modes.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Cause and/or Action
Camera does not turn on. The batteries may be exhausted. Charge or replace the batteries.
Camera turns off automatically. Press any button except the Power button to turn on the camera.
LCD turns blank. Press any button except the Power button to turn on the LCD.
Empty battery icon is displayed on the LCD, and then the camera turns off. Batteries are exhausted, please replace or recharge.
LCD screen displays 'No images in memory'. The image file on the memory card. Image file format may not be supported.
LCD screen displays 'Not available for this file'. Function is only available for specific file types. File format is not supported.
LCD screen displays 'Memory full'. Memory card is full. Replace the memory card with a new one or delete unnecessary images.
LCD screen displays 'File locked' This file is locked. Unlock the file.
LCD screen displays 'Card locked'. The memory card is protected. Remove the card and slide the write-protect switch to it's unlock position.
LCD screen displays 'CARD HAS WRONG FORMAT'. The memory card is protected. Remove the card and slide the write-protect switch to it's unlock position.
LCD screen displays 'Copy error'. The memory card is protected. Remove the card and slide the write-protect switch to it's unlock position.The memory card is full. Replace card or delete unnecessary files.
The lens got stuck up. Do not force the lens to go back. The type of the battery used may be incorrect or the battery power level is too low. Change the battery or charge the battery before using the camera.
