1. Attach the Wrist Strap: Connect the strap to the mount on the camera's side.
2. Install the Batteries: Open the battery door, insert batteries, and close the door.
3. Turn On the Camera: Slide the lens cover open.
4. Choose the Language: Select your preferred language using the controller buttons and press OK.
5. Set the Date and Time: Adjust the date and time format, date, and time using the buttons.
6. Install and Format a Memory Card (Optional): Insert and format a memory card if desired.
7. Take a Still Picture: Press the Live View/Playback button, frame the subject, and press the Shutter button.
