Getting Started

  • Camera Overview: Familiarize yourself with the camera's top, back, and side controls, including the shutter button, Live View/Playback button, navigation buttons, Menu/OK button, and USB connector.
  • Battery Installation: Open the battery/memory card door, insert batteries correctly, and close the door.
  • Power On & Setup: Slide the lens cover open to turn on the camera. Follow on-screen prompts to choose the language and set the date and time.
  • Memory Card: Insert and format an optional memory card for expanded storage.

  • Reviewing Images: Use the Playback button to scroll through images and video clips.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
Camera does not turn on.
  • Install new or recharged batteries, ensuring correct insertion.
  • Use rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries.
  • Reset the camera.

Image is grainy.

Images are missing.
  • Check internal memory if memory card is removed. Transfer if necessary.
Power light is on, but Image Display is off or camera is stuck.
  • Press Live View/Playback button to reactivate Image Display.
