1. Attach the Wrist Strap: Secure the wrist strap to the designated mount on the camera.
2. Install the Battery: Open the battery door, insert the battery, and close the door.
3. Charge the Battery: Connect the AC adapter to the camera and a power outlet. The Power/Memory light indicates charging status.
4. Choose the Language: Turn on the camera and select your preferred language from the on-screen menu.
5. Set the Region: Select your region to configure date format and video signal settings.
6. Set the Date and Time: Adjust the date and time settings as prompted.
7. Install and Format a Memory Card (Optional): Insert a memory card and format it for optimal performance.
8. Take a Still Picture: Frame your subject, press the shutter button halfway to focus, then fully to capture the image.
9. Record a Video Clip: Press the Video button to start recording and press it again to stop.
10. Review Images and Video Clips: Use the Playback button and navigation buttons to view your photos and videos.
11. Install the Software: Insert the software CD and follow on-screen instructions to install HP Image Zone.
12. Transfer Images to a Computer: Connect the camera via USB or dock and follow software prompts to transfer images.
13. Set Up HP Instant Share Destinations (Optional): Configure destinations for automatic image sharing.
