Manual for Photosmart R830/R840

Getting Started:

• Install the Battery: Open the battery/memory card door, insert the battery, and close the door. Charge the battery fully before first use.
• Charge the Battery: Use the USB cable and power adapter to charge the battery in the camera.
• Turn on the Camera: Slide the lens cover open.
• Set Up: Follow on-screen prompts to choose language, region, date, and time. Install an optional memory card and format it if necessary.
• Install Software: Insert the HP Photosmart Software CD and follow installation instructions for Windows or Macintosh.
• Take Pictures: Slide the mode selector to Picture Capture. Frame the subject, press the shutter button halfway to focus, then fully to take the picture.
• Record Video: Slide the mode selector to Video Record. Frame the subject, press the shutter button halfway to focus, then fully to start recording. Press again to stop.
• Review/Delete: Slide the mode selector to Playback. Use the arrow buttons to scroll through images/videos. Press the delete button to delete an image.
• Transfer Images: Turn off the camera, connect to computer via USB, turn on camera, and follow on-screen instructions.
• Print Images: Connect to a PictBridge-certified printer via USB, select image, and print.
