Getting Started

  • Attach the camera strap for safety.
  • Insert the battery and memory card by opening the compartment at the bottom of the camera. Ensure correct orientation and secure the compartment.
  • Charge the battery using the provided USB cable and adapter. The LED indicator shows charging status. Charging takes approximately 2 hours.
  • Insert an SD/SDHC memory card for expanded storage. Ensure correct orientation and push until it clicks.

Initial Settings

  • Set the display language and date/time using the navigation controls and the OK button.

Modes

  • Photo Mode: Take photos and record audio clips.
  • Video Mode: Record videos.
  • Playback Mode: View and edit captured images or playback videos and audio clips.

Taking Photos

  • Power on the camera, select Photo mode, and frame the shot.
  • Lightly press the shutter button to focus and adjust exposure (focus bracket turns green when successful).
  • Press the shutter button fully to take the photo.

Using Menus

  • Function Menu: Press FUNC to adjust basic capture settings like resolution, EV compensation, AWB, ISO, Metering, and Color mode.
  • Setup Menu: Access general camera settings like Sounds, Power Save, LCD Save, Date & Time, and Language.

Playback

  • Slide the mode switch to Playback mode to view images, videos, and audio clips.
  • Use the navigation keys to move between items. Press OK to play movies or audio clips.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
Camera does not turn on. Ensure the battery is charged and correctly inserted.
Photos are blurry. Hold the camera steady, use a tripod, or check the shake warning icon. Ensure correct focus.
Cannot insert memory card. Ensure the memory card is inserted with the correct orientation.
Battery not charging. Ensure the USB cable is properly connected to the camera and power source.
