Getting Started:
  • Attaching the Camera Strap: Secure the strap to prevent dropping the camera.
  • Inserting the Battery: Power off the camera, open the compartment, insert the battery with correct orientation, and close securely.
  • Charging the Battery: Connect the camera via USB cable to a power source. The LED indicates charging status.
  • Inserting Memory Card: Power off the camera, open compartment, insert card until it clicks, and close.
  • Camera Views: Familiarize yourself with the front, back, top, and bottom views of the camera, noting key buttons and features.
  • Camera Buttons: Learn the function of each button: Power, Shutter, Zoom, Menu, Function/Delete, Navigation Control (4-way and OK).
  • Turning On/Off: Press the Power button. Auto power-off is available.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Cause and/or Action
Camera does not turn on. The battery may be exhausted. Recharge the battery.
Camera turns off automatically. Press any button except the Power button to power on the camera.
LCD turns blank. Press any button except the Power button to turn on the LCD.
Empty battery icon is displayed on the LCD, and then the camera turns off. One or both of the battery may be exhausted. Replace the battery.
LCD screen displays 'No images in memory'. The image file on the memory card. Image file format may not be supported.
LCD screen displays 'Not available for this file'. Function is only available for specific file types. File format is not supported.
LCD screen displays 'Memory full'. Memory card is full. Replace the memory card with a new one or delete unnecessary images.
LCD screen displays 'File locked' This file is locked. Unlock the file.
LCD screen displays 'Card locked'. The memory card is protected. Remove the card and slide the write-protect switch to it's unlock position.
LCD screen displays 'CARD HAS WRONG FORMAT'. The memory card is protected. Remove the card and slide the write-protect switch to it's unlock position.
LCD screen displays 'Copy error' The memory card is protected. Remove the card and slide the write-protect switch to it's unlock position. The memory card is full. Replace card or delete unnecessary files.
The lens is extended and will NOT retract. Do not force the lens to go back. The type of the battery used may be incorrect or the battery power level is too low. Change the battery or charge the battery before using the camera.
